Question
My lizard has not eaten for months.  The pet store said as long as his tail was fat he would be fine.  His tail does not look good.  I believe he is blind now because when he sheds the skin grew on his eyes and did not come off.  I do not know what to do.  We have have had him for over 3 years and since our move to Texas from Nevada he has not been the same.  If you could point us in the right direction that would be great. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Toni,

Oh geez, that is sad, poor thing.
Sometimes moving does a number on them with stress.
Can you tell me about the setup you have?
Unfortunately, their fat reserves in their tail only lasts for so long until it begins to dwindle.
Do you have a moist humid hide on the hot side for him?
I would at the moment, start bathing him gently to see if you can get any of that skin off of his eye area.  Just a word of warning, he probably will not like his bath!!  :-))
Also you are going to have to start assist feeding him.  You can get some chicken & turkey babyfood & mix that together for his meal with some calcium in with it.  You can use a plastic dropper or a plastic syringe to get him to eat.

Let me know how he is doing.
