Hi there,
Can it be detrimental for my female beardie not to mate? When I put her outside she loves digging in the sand for short periods, but has never laid any eggs.  She is 3 years old

Answer
Hi. I really need some more info on ur situation. Is a male present??  Do u want her to mate??  It is not necessary that she mates!!  Altho she may become gravid and lay unfertilized eggs. This is just a natural process in the lizard world. Just keep her fed well and hydrated bc after lizards lay their eggs they become weak and they need calcium and proper food and water to build themselves up again.  I hope this helped. Please go online. Just google in ur q's and u will find so many knowledgable sites regarding bearded dragon husbandry. Good luck
