how young is too young for beardies to brumate

Hi Jedediah,  I am wondering if a 8 month old beardie is too young to brumate?  This is our first beardie and he is spending a fair bit of time sleeping it seems.  (I did read your info on beardies and think it was a great page).  We love him very much and want to make sure that this is ok?

Is there any other important information that we may need to know about him as first time owners of a beardie?   We would eventually like to get more of them.

I'm glad that I helped you :) Before going into brumation, Nova shouldn't have eaten for two weeks anyway to make sure that there is no food left in his guts. For a healthy dragon, two weeks without food at full temperature and lights are not a problems. Keep an eye on his weight, he shouldn't loose any during brumation.
