Breeding my female beardie....

Question
I have a 4 1/2 year old female bearded dragon, and want to breed her to
my 6 year old male.

Will she come into heat? Or if i put them together, will they mate?
How do I know when she is ready to mate?

Also, the female is mine and lives at my house and the male in question
is my friend's, and he lives down the road.  They have never had any
interaction AT ALL.  He is quite aggressive towards humans(lack of
handling), but I have no clue how he would respond to a female dragon.  Would
I need to leave them alone for a while, or could I seperate them and
take Roxy(female) back home after they mated?

Thanks! Any other advice on breeding beardies/care after breeding would be great!!

Answer
Breeding season starts usually in the spring.  They mate in February through summer and although the males are willing to mate multiple times, the female only needs to mate once per season, from that mating, she stores sperm up to a year.  Mating should take place on neutral ground.

Males' mating behavior is the same as aggression, blackened beard and tail, circling, foot stamps and bobbing.  Females show willingness to mate with a push-up type gesture. A shudder-bobbing female is unwilling, do not force her!

Measure both beardies, for if the female is under 18" and the male is under 20", then they are really not good candidates for breeding.  Also consider that 2-3 years old is the prime age for breeding. A 4 1/2 year old may or may not lay eggs.
