Question
QUESTION: Hi

I bought a bearded dragon a day ago,it's still very young. It's front left leg looks like it's broken,it's got a bump underneath it's left front leg and not under the other front leg and it's not very active.

Thanks in advance

Calvin.

ANSWER: Hello Calvin,

Can you post a picture of your dragon's leg for me?
It could also be a bump from metabolic bone disease possibly.  Do you have any idea how old he is?
What type & brand of UVB are you using, is it a flourescent tube bulb or a compact/coil bulb?
Do you have calcium supplementation you will be using?

Did the previous owners have him under UVB lighting & did they supplement calcium?
Is the bump hard or soft?
Has he eaten anything at all yet?

QUESTION: Hi

Yes he had a UVB in his tank I think, the pet shop where I bought him took him back from his previous owner because he was very under weight and then the petshop nursed him back to full health.I take him out in to the sun for a while a day until I buy him a UV light and yes he eats and I give him his calcium supplement.By the way he walks fine.I have no idea how old he is.

Answer
Hello Calvin,

Well, do you know what brand & type of UVB light he had?  A lot of UVB lights are basically worthless in emissions so they do not do them any good at all.
Which UVB light are you using?  The brand should be stamped on the bulb itself, so please let me know what brand & type it is, thanks.
How much do you feed him?  If he is an adult, then he needs roughly 40-50 feeders weekly & calcium 3 times or so per week as well.
The sunlight does him good, daily if you can manage also.
Did you manage to get a picture taken of that bump for me yet?  I would appreciate it.
So, it is not affecting his ability to walk or climb?
