bearded dragon paralyzed, crooked spine

Question
I inherited a bearded dragon from a friend. They said that suddenly one day this year old dragon had a crooked spine and paralyzed in the back legs.  I changed the light to a UV, put it in the sunlight each day and supplemented with d# and calcium. After three months, the lizard seems worse and falls on it's back a dozen or so times a day. It can only catch crickets that are stunned.  The friend would not telly me if there was an accidental fall involved which made me suspicious that they felt terrible. I am thinking that it needs euthanized.  I am fearful that it is in pain.
I have thought of freezing it, shooting it in the head and running it over with the car since it can't move to get out of the way.  I know this sounds gruesome, but treating it for metabolic disease has not improved the condition at all.
Thank you.

Answer
Linda, you are correct I believe your friend is telling you a story.  It does sound unfortunately that the only option now is euthanasia.  That being said the methods you mentioned actually would cause more pain and suffering.  Take it to a local vet who can perform the euthanasia medically.  I am sorry for your loss.
