Bob my bearded dragon

Question
Hi, my name is Dillon and I am 10. I have had my bearded dragon since I was 6. He is really cool and really fun. We have just recently moved from Colorado Springs to Albequerque New Mexico. My dad had to come take Bob and his 50 gal tank by car because my mom and I are not moving there for a few weeks. We gave Bob about 20 large crickets the day before his big car ride ( 6 hour drive) he ate most of them. When my dad got him to New Mexico he noticed that it seemed like Bob threw up little piles of chewed crickets. He has never done this before so does that mean he is sick? My dad says that Bob seems to want to lay on the bottom of his aquarium instead of climbing on his cactus. he used to do this only at night. Do you think bearded dragons can get depressed when they move or change places?
I have been reading alot of your information and advice that you have given to other people. I didnt know that lettuce didnt do anything for Bob. I'll be making sure to give him better greens.
Thanks for answering all my questions. Bob is only 4 and he is supposed to live a long healthy life and go to college in Australia with me some day.

Answer
Hi Dillon, I think that Bob may have gotten a bit car sick! Car sickness happens to animals as well. I used to work with a parrot that we filmed commercials with and he threw up in the car every time! The other thing with your dragon is that he would not have had access to the proper temperature in car to effectively digest those crickets. Rather then have them start to rot inside of him his body simply got rid of them. If you ever need to travel with him in the future don't feed him for a couple days before. Also put him in a small cardboard box for the trip so that he cannot see things zipping by, that is usually what triggers the vomiting.
I think he is just recovering from the stress of the drive and throwing up. Dragons are pretty smart and very aware of what is around them so he also realizes that the area outside his tank is a completely different area and being suddenly relocated to a different "territory" can also be stressful.
I would make sure that his basking temperature is correct and give him a few days to settle in and recover before I got too worried.
