My bearded dragon behavior

Question
I have had my bearded dragon for about a year now and he started to get this behavior where he would open up his beard when I go and reach for him at times. What does this behavior mean?

Answer
A year old beardie is like a teenager in a way.  He's testing you, trying to find dominance.  Don't be intimidated.  Pick him up, carefully, hold him till he quiets down, and give him attention, only when he's quiet and calm would you put him back in his home.  Get a soft leash, I like the Four-paws Reptile leash, and take him outside, take him for walks with him on your chest or shoulder, rides in the car (other than the vets), visiting, the more you include him in activities, the more he'll become accustomed to his place.
