Question
My son has a leopard gecko which we were told was a male. We got him 7 months ago and he is lively and eats well, has been growing and looks healthy. He has recently started digging in his tank and we were wondering if he had been sexed wrong as we can only find info on females digging? He was a few months old when we got him i believe, not really small.

Answer
Both sexes have the ability to dig.  However, yours is old enough to sex accurately by looking at his back end.  just below the vent at the base of the tail there would be a noticable bulge where the hemipenes would be.  Also before the vent there would be a row of femoral pores, round, slighly darkened dots.  A female would have those pores but so tiny, you'd never notice and she'd have no bulge.
