hi my bosc is gettin a hard crusty tip on the end of his tail its going different colour from the rest of him and  very dry and shedding can you help plz

Hi Glen, it sounds like he needs a vet visit. It could by dry gangrene which will cause the skin at the end to die and because brittle and dark in color. It can spread up his entire tail if not treated. Usually treatment consists of a quick amputation which can only be done by a certified veterinarian. Here is more information on the topic.
