Bathing a Leopard Gecko

22 13:35:06

Question
Should you bath a leopard gecko at any time? Our gecko shed a few weeks ago and still has a section of skin stuck on it's back. The entire body is turning pale as if it is ready to shed again. Can we bath it? If so, what temperature should the water be, and how long should the bath last?

Answer
I wouldn't bathe them on a regular basis as this may cause skin infections if they don't dry properly.  What I would do is soak some sphagnum moss and squeeze it out then place the moss and the gecko in a tupper ware container with air holes punched in it and making sure it doesn't get too cold like below 80 degrees in the tub leave the gecko in there overnight and the humidity should rectify the shedding issue. You can also use non-dyed white paper towels instead of sphagnum moss.
