AnswerHi Kaitlyn, Another major difference between the two is size. The common bearded (P. barbata) and Lawson's dragon are two separate species of bearded dragons. Lawson's (also known as Rankin's) only get about 10 - 12 inches in total length, that's including the tail while P. barbata can get twice that size. Lawson's are a bit less spikey looking as well.
These two sites describe the different species of bearded dragons.
