yesterday I tried to pat her and she opened wide hie mouth and jumped again trying to bite me..She /he get's crazy eyes and when approached other times, get low like if scared of me or something.
I have had them since they were 2 weeks old.. I love them so much..like my babies...I am worried as I don't want her to hate me..thank you

Answer
Hey Erica, it could be due to the season honestly.  During breeding season males have been known to become aggressive towards everyone and everything.  This would be my first thought.  I would try giving it a treat after handling handling it.  You can try forced handling which may require gloves.  This is when you pick the lizard up and holding it in the palm place the other hand over the top of it and hold it until it calms down try this for about ten minutes at a time then give it a treat of wax worms or something else it might enjoy that it doesn't get on a regular basis.  For more information on Bearded Dragons specifically feel free to visit my site www.reptileapartment.com and please feel free to email me directly through the site as I would like to help you resolve this.  I am leaning towards the fact that this is due to either a seasonal thing or just a male who is beginning the stages of coming into breeding and it will soon pass.
