Question
Hi, I have 2 bearded dragons 1 male and 1 female. The female seems to be growing rapidly (they are approx 17 weeks) but the male is not - they are both eating well but the male doesn't seem to be growing as fast. Do you reccomend that i seperate them at feeding time to ensure they both get equal amounts? Any advise would be much appreciated

Answer
Dear Sam,
thank you for your question.
I recommend a vet visit to make sure the male is healthy. He may have parasites or something else (in that case, the female needs to be treated as well). You should also separate them for now because bearded dragons are capable of eating other dragons that are only a bit smaller than themselves. If the male has reached the size of the female, it's fine to house them together again (re-arrange the enclosure first so that none of them feels at home).
I hope I was of some ehlp to you
Jennifer
