Question
QUESTION: I got some anole eggs from my work and got one to hatch out 3 days ago , the book says it takes 30-40 days to hatch and the mother anole will lay 1 egg a day so do I give the others more time or are they no good . my baby is eating fruit flies and pin head crickets anything other then that ?

ANSWER: I would wait until the start to misshape or turn moldy where your sure they are bad.  As far as the feeding goes your doing fine.  Make sure though to provide calcium to ensure healthy growth.  Congratulations as well on hatching the eggs!

QUESTION: I had my little anole die 2 days ago ,and now 3 more hatched out . I hope the same thing dose not happen to them . we had temps in the 90 and when I was at work the tank got up to 100 my boyfriend saw it and turned the heat lamp off but I think it was to late . could that have killed him?

Answer
Yes that definitely could have done it.  One thing I would do is mist the cage in the morning say before work as this will raise the humidity and decrease the heat somewhat but not to dangerous levels.  I would shoot for more in the range of 85 if at all possible for basking.  Once again congrats on hatching that is awesome!
