Question
Hi Tracie, just wanted to update you on our vet trip. The vet said he is very young and was surprised to hear that a pet store was selling them so young and small. He said the main problem is that he is too little to eat the food that the store can supply. He said at this age he needs to eat really small insects like fruit flies or something small like that. He was concerned about how skinny Franklin has become and just recommended trying to get him to eat the baby food or some mushed meal worms. Tonight we gave him some chicken baby food through a small syringe that the vet gave us and he actually ate some! Yay, some success. The vet was just concerned that we might have trouble getting him to eat again at this stage so that is our main goal right now. The vet said he was in good shape hydration wise, we have kept the humidity up and see him licking water frequently. I feel better knowing that he has no parastes or anything, we are just going to try to nurse him back to healthy and hopefully he makes it. He's still active though and loves the new live plant I got for him. Thanks for your help and quick responses, it was nice to have someone who knew what they were talking about helping us. I'll let you know how he makes out, if you have any suggestions for food for such a young anole it would help us out. Unfortunately we live in Canada and cannot get live bugs over the border. We definitely got into more than we were expecting, but we are willing to help save this cute little guy!

Answer
Hello Kelsey,

That is excellent Franklin had a good check up then.   It sounds like it is just going to take some time for him to get better.
It is hard to get food into them when they are that small!  At least you were able to get him to eat some from the syringe.
I am happy the vet was helpful for you.
There should be a live bug distributor in Canada.  Here is a site that I know of, that my friends in Canada use.
http://www.canadianfeeders.com/index.html

That should help out in finding feeders up in Canada.
He is a lucky anole, to have you helping him so much!
I am glad that he doesn't have any parasites either, that is excellent.  Keep up the great work.

Let me know if you need anything.

Tracie
