Question
My grandson recently caught a Texas Tree Lizard that we decided to keep as a pet. It readily eats crickets, about 1/2" long, but  quickly consumes 2 or 3 when fed. How often should we feed it and how many should we feed it daily? Any other special requirements? Thanks!

Answer
Mark, OK the first thing I will say is you need to provide 2 things at minimum. Those being UV radiation through a Reptile specific UVB bulb usually a long fluorescent tube. The other thing is calcium again reptile specific.  Now then as far as feeding is concerned a few crickets every other day is fine I would offer more and then figure out how many it will eat in about 5 minutes and then to vary the diet you add meal worms to the diet as well.
