can i put an acer branch in my bearded dragen tank

Hi Sandra,
Acer(maple) are generally pretty smooth on the bark which can be a problem for the beardie to hang on to.
I would not use Red Maple as it has been shown to be toxic to mammals...
When using any branch from the out doors, it must be dry and it needs to be baked at 250 degrees F for several hours to make sure no insects remain in the wood...
so...
Do not use red maple
Make sure the branch is dried(seasoned)
be sure to bake it as mentioned above
If the branch is smooth bark, it can cause problems for your beardie to hold onto so you may have to wrap some sisal rope on it.
