Question
QUESTION: Is the reptiglo 5.0 a good uvb light for a bearded dragon the guy at the pet store said it would work perfect just getting a second option

ANSWER: Hello Nick,

No, the 5 strength is not usually strong enough.  Which "5" are you considering & is it a compact/coil light or a tube bulb?  Which brand is it?
Bearded dragons are high UVB requirements dragons & with their thick scales, do need a stronger UVB emission.

QUESTION: It is a tube light and the brand is Exo terra

ANSWER: Hello Nick,

The Exoterra Reptiglo 5 tube bulb is a very weak tube bulb & will not emit enough UVB exposure for a bearded dragon.
I highly recommend getting either a Zoomed Reptisun 10 tube or an Arcadia D3 12% tube bulb, either one.

How is he doing today?

QUESTION: He's doing good but still not eating

Answer
Hello Nick,

I think changing out the light initially would help him out.
How are your temperatures in the tank?  He does need a basking spot of around 95-110 on the warm side & 78-82 on the cooler end, measured either with a temp gun or a digital probe.
Which basking light are you using, is it a bright white light of or a daytime bluish type of light that is coated with neodymium?
You can try some bee pollen to help with his appetite, too.  You can find that at most health  food stores, too.

Let me know how he is doing.
