QuestionI found what I think to be a baby tree frog(it is a little smaller than an inch) in my plant outside my apartment. When I first notice the frog it was bright green, now it is light brown. I wanted to know if it is safe outside? Should I take it to an animal hospital? Is it much work to have it as a house pet? I just don't want it to die.
AnswerHi lg
Tree frogs often change from green to brown and can display other shades of color depending upon the species
Raising this baby would require lots of small insects and a secure enclosure
It should be fine on its own but I do believe that most of the tree frogs in the hobby are wild caught so there would not be much of a difference with you trying to raise this one or buying one from a pet store
I would do a lot of research on caring for tree frogs especially if you have never kept amphibians before this
Here is a link to a care sheet for them
