Question

Godzilla's gray tail
Hi I am the owner of a two and a half months old bearded dragon I have had her for akmost two months now and she had seem well, she shred about two weeks ago. Today I discovered her tail was gray, the rest of her body had bright colors (you'll se in the picture) but her tail and the front part of her mouth were gray, I gave her some crickets which she eat with almost no interest I had to insist and as she was not eating any salad I sprayed a little bit of water on her so she would perhaps lick some but instead she kind of turned her eyes inside out (I think I saw her doing that once before)I_ could ot capture that moment because it was very short but I know you know what I mean.

So she is not active, not eating (and not full, she does not look fat as usual) and partially gray, do you know what I should do??

Thank you very much in advance.

Answer
Hello Xochitl,

What type & brand of UVB light are you using, a florescent tube bulb or a compact/coil light?  What type of basking light do you use, a bright white light or a colored light?
It appears that she is going to shed her tail now.  A lot of times, shedding really affects their appetite quite a bit.  She is growing rapidly right now, too so she will shed often.
Are you supplementing calcium 5 days per week?
The eyes are bazaar when they bulge them like that, it causes the inner eye lid to push out.  It looks pretty crazy!
What are the temperatures in the tank, & what type of thermometer do you use?  A stick on type, a digital probe or a temp gun?
