Identify a snake

I would like to get help identifying a type of snake I saw in my backyard. I live in the west coast of Florida, and I need help with this because I have two dogs. The snake is small, greenish color on top, and yellow at the bottom. It really looks more a worm but huge, than an actual snake.

It's probably a green snake (no, really, that's what it's called, lol).  There are two species in the US, the rough green snake and the smooth green snake (if the scales are keeled, it's the rough green snake--if they are shiny and flat, it's the smooth).  It's a harmless insectivore--very beneficial to have around the home and garden.  They're pretty little things that stay very small.
