My Geckos health

QUESTION: My gecko hasn't eaten in 2 months.His mouth is starting to open up and tongue is come out slowly.He has a black thing sticking out of the side of his mouth...may be bacterial infection?Eye is also very swollen and sometimes has a lot of fluids.What is wrong with him and what should i do to help??? My parents won't let me bring him to vet thou.

ANSWER: Hello Ian,

Your gecko is going to need vet care most likely.  That sounds like a terrible mouth infection, possibly mouth rot.
I can direct you to get some medication for him, if you would like to.
What are the tank conditions like?  What are the temperatures in the tank?  Are you using an undertank heater along with a low wattage basking light?
Do you supplement with calcium on a regular basis?  
It sounds like he has a serious infection going on & with it in his mouth & eye area, it is dangerous being near his brain.
Can you post a picture of him?

QUESTION: I do have a heater under the tank but no light.I have a small rock he goes into and there is moss covering the flooring under the rock.His substrate is sand but i'm sure he doesn't have impaction.I do cover his food with gecko calcium and he seemed to like it.Ive recently left a bowl of calcium  for him.I try to clean his tank as often as possible.He once had a mate but due to ovebreeding, she died.He also sheds once every 2 weeks.I will try to send a picture as quick as possible if i can.

Yes, please send some pictures.  How is he doing today?
Can you order some antibiotics online?  If so, I can direct you to get some online, & help you dose them for him.
Good continue to get the calcium into him at least 3-4 times per week right now.  Make sure his temperatures are optimal for him to help him fight any infection that he is going through.
