Color change

Question
Hello Pam i had asked you a question about my horned dragons earlier, an u want to know about the gardens, the have a website, just google Westman Reptile Gardens an there is info an a gallery and everything, as for my habitat, the 175 is quite large for them right now as the are all still "big" babies, not even breaking 15" the environment is pretty well around a arboreal jungle, just sorta hard to get completely Asian. When i upgrade my habitat the 2 species will be separated once again into there very own, large vivariums (currently under construction). So with that out of the way, the still have not returned to there original color patterns as when i bought them, an there is still no signs of illness nor stress, they are all eating great, and are all quite healthy. If you get any ideas on why the color may have changed and how to get it to return, please let me know. Thanks

Sean

Answer
Color changes, especially darker colors are either a sign of stress or a need for additional warmth.  If they are juveniles, well, like teenagers, they may be going through the stress of puberty.  If they are still real babies only a couple of months old, then you have some relocation stress, which can last a week or two.
If they are basking, eating and pooping, and the feces is normal and the urates are soft and creamy white, I would wait two weeks, get a fecal done for parasites, and if they are clear, then let them acclimate.
