little blue reptile

I saw a 5"-6" long reptile in my garden this morning in NE Texas.  Very beautiful iridescent blue.  I don't know if it had legs or not.

I have seen one before in the same area many years ago.

Do you know what it might be?

Well, it sounds like it might have been a spiny lizard but the research that I have done within the field guide for Texas didn't reveal anything that seemed blue in your area.  However, I have something which may fit the bill.  It may have been a juvenile five lined skink.  This seems to be the most likely candidate that I can find.
