Question
i recently was given a leopard geko,
i was told it wasnt fed for 2 months so i went out and bought her some food and cleaned out the tank etc. eveything is going well but her left eye is swollen and in the eye itself is white cloudy substance which seems to be coming out of her eye. is there anything i can do?

Answer
Hello Martyn,

Hm what type of substrate are you using in the tank?
Are you using an undertank heater & a low wattage basking light on one end of the tank?
You can get some saline solution to put in the eye for 7-10 days.
Did she have retained shed left on the eye possibly?  It sounds like it could be infected.  I can direct you to a site for you to get some antibiotic eye ointment:

Get the terramycin, it works very well.

Let me know how she is doing.
