knight anole not eating after eating brown anole

Question
I am asking a question for a friend of mine who has a Cuban knight anole. I'm not sure how much background info you need. The knight anole seems to be picky for his food choices, for example, he will only eat food that is moving, he doesn't care for pinky mice. He stopped eating crickets about 2 weeks ago. About one week ago, he ate a smaller brown anole, and after that he has stopped eating everything. He doesn't move very much anymore, and you can see most all of his bones, he doesn't seem to have an appetite. There are three other smaller brown anoles still in the tank with the knight anole, and one of the anoles has small green spots on his neck (I'm not sure if green spots mean this anole is sick or not). Also, one of the other brown anoles must be in her mating season because we saw a baby anole in the tank.

Is it possible that the knight anole ate a smaller anole that could have been sick? Or could he have poorly digested the anole or something, so he would loose his appetite? Do you have any recommendations or insights into what could be wrong with him?

Thank you for your time.

Answer
I would have the Knight anole taken to the vet to check for possible impaction, especially since he is showing signs of getting thinner.  Where did you get the anoles?  If you are in an area where all you did was catch them outside, there could be a parasite issue.  I have a beardie who liked to supplement her diet with brown anoles that got into her cage in Florida where she lived with her previous owner.  Because of this habit she was treated every year for giardia.  It was only until she came up north to me that we were able to rid her of this debilitating parasite.
