hi at the moment i have a uva/uvb strip light on top of a exo terra glass terranium no reflector.60x45x60(wxdxh)and a normal bulb hanging inside as a basking light.also a heat mat under the tank with bark on the bottom. the temps seem to be fine,ie on the basking side (29c-32)and the other side(24c-27c)depending on the wether and temp in the house can you tell me if this sounds ok and what i could do to make it better ie bulb size wattage and so on thanks ps i have a 7 month old chameleon thanks

Answer
Hello Mark, I am not too good with converting temperatures but I will try and get the closest conversion to Fahrenheit as possible.
29 is about 84 and 32 is 89 and thats the warm side.
Coold side is 75-80 which sounds about right to me. The UV is fine as well. The cage should be larger and with a glass tank you need a fresh air exchanger. Chameleons should be housed in all screen cages (actually cheaper then glass terrariums) and he will be a lot happier. What humidity level is in your tank?

Good luck
