Question
I have a bearded dragon about 10 weeks old,I have had hi about 3 weeks and when i bought him he was just finishing a shed, when should he be looking to shed again and what signs do i look for and what should i do when i see these signs

Answer
Dear Mike,
thank you for your question.
The interval between sheds depend on how fast the dragon grows, so i cannot tell you how soon your dragon will shed again. The skin will take on a dull, whiteish look. You don't need to do anything normally, just offer a hiding place with moist substrate, that will help with the shedding. Mist the enclosure once every two or three days in the morning (this should be done at all times, not just during a shed).

If your dragon should have problems with shedding, you can bathe him in lukewarm water to soften the skin. Don't try to peel the skin off, you may hurt the underlying skin with that. If it's really neccessary, it's better to see a herp vet and let the vet do it.
I hope I was of some help to you
Jennifer
