Question
My neighbor (90040) found a black snake in her garage. Another neighbor removed it and said it was an EASTERN INDIGO.
From what I've read, how on this earth could it have
gotten into her garage? Her property has block wall fence
on 3 sides. We have houses on your block, no fields anywhere
nearby. We're dying to know where it came from!!!

Answer
Hello Teresa,

Wow, that is amazing!
The Eastern Indigo is indigenous to the Eastern US, specifically from Miami Dade county, Florida.
I wonder if someone had it as a pet & released it?
They are non venomous though, but if you are scared to try & get it out of your garage, you could call a reptile rescue to have you help recover it out of your garage!
Were you able to get any pictures of it?
