Question
Hi Tracie, my name is Dan and I have a question regarding my crested gecko. I've had her for almost a full year and I was gone for the weekend and when I returned I noticed she was hiding underneath a patch of moss. Normally this wouldn't bring concern because I figured she's shedding her skin, but I noticed she's still under there, not really doing much. It's been a few days since she's had a cricket but she had fruit when I left on the weekend. Just wondering if you know why she might be doing this. She might of been hiding under the moss for several days now. And I"m worried I did something wrong to make her sick.
Thank you very much.

Answer
Hello Dan,
Hm, could she be laying or trying to lay infertile eggs?
What is your setup like, such as are you using a UVB light & a basking light?
A UVB is not real important, but the basking light is.  Are you using an  undertank heater?
How big were the crickets?  It is possible that the crickets may have been bad.  Has she had a stool lately?
Does she have a calcium dish in her tank as well?
What are her temperatures in the tank?
