Bearded dragon eye problem?

Question
QUESTION: Hello, The last 5 days my bearded dragons eye has changed. At first, it was all crusty around the eye lid and he could not open his eye. I wiped it all away and he was fine but the eye changed over a small period. He seemed to get what looked like a bubble or lens, across his lids in front of the eye. And there is a small black line that goes all the way around the inside of his eye lid. He doesn't open that eye while hes just sitting in his enclosure. When I take him out, he will open and look around like normal! That is when I noticed the bubble and black line. I've used Neomycin and Polymyxln B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Ointment on the outside of the eye, on the lids. He hasn't gone blind in the eye and it doesn't seem to cause him pain. While it is open, it looks and works completely normal. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks.

ANSWER: Hello Joe,

I am sorry to hear your dragon's eye is not doing well.
What type of UVB are you using?  A fluorescent tube bulb, or a compact/coil light?
Do you have any pictures of his eye for me?
How long did you use the eye ointment for?
What type of basking light are you using, a bright white light or a colored light?
You could also get some sterile saline solution to help flush his eye out with.  Is it both eyes, or just one eye?

QUESTION: I am using a fluorexcent bulb. Right now it just looks as if goo is building up ad hardening. I have only used the eye solutin a few times. I have a bright white basking light, It is just in his left eye.

Answer
Hello Joe,

Which brand is the fluorescent tube UVB?  The eye that is bothering him, is it closest to the UVB light?
I would turn off the UVB light right now & just have him basking under the bright white light for heating.
Continue using the sterile saline solution.  Have you looked into terramycin antibiotic eye ointment?
Is he eating anything right now?
