Handling Mali Uromastyx

I have just recently bought a Mali Uromastyx from PetSmart,brought it home, and fell in love with it...but I dont know if it will be like I want it to. I want it to be able to chill on my shoulder and maybe even be able to watch some t.v. with me, like the Bearded Dragons do. Do the Mali Uromastyx act similar to the Bearded Dragons??? Will they chill with you on your shoulder?? Thank You for your help!!!!!!!!

Hi Ben,
Its really hard to say if your new pet will be the way you want him to.  They are all different...even the beardies that are known to like human companionship can sometimes not like humans so much.  
Being gentle with your Uro so he  learns to trust you will help him be the way you want him to be.Don't over handle him..and be sure to let him settle into his new home for a week or so before you try doing too much with him.  You don't want to stress him out too much!!  Malis are generally very gentle, laid back lizards...
But..do remember that they all have their own personalities. Once he feels safe with you he will most likely be willing to hang out and watch tv with you for a bit.
