Question
hey its me again i was just wondering about my 2 baby bearded dragons there both females very smale and have been getting skinnier lately i have fed them crickets dusted and they have eaten them but now there still skinny is that alright since its almost winter ?

Answer
Hi Dallas, Something doesn't sound right. Healthy baby beardeds that are eating should be growing, definitely not getting skinnier. Beardeds need to have access to a hot spot in the tank that is about 100 - 110F. Without that they will not be able to properly digest and metabolize their food. Young beardeds should be fed daily and will usually consume at least a dozen or more crickets a day (depending on the size). If they have the right temp. and are eating sufficient amounts but still not thriving then I would strongly suspect intestinal parasites. These are extremely common in beardeds. You will need to take a faecal sample to the vet to determine this.
