My step mum just bought me a six week old bearded dragon,
I would just like to know the heat lamp times, how long will i put in on and turn it off

Can't you just catch bearded dragons over there!?!?!  LOL

Basically try to mimic the climate in which you live, since that is where they live as well.  I would not go any colder than about 25C at night (use an infrared lamp if needed) and try for about 43C in the basking spot during the day.  UVB lighting is a must (the B is the important part).
