QuestionWhat size cage should I get for a breeding pair
AnswerSomething VERY large in my opinion. Too many people know too little about Beardies and their natural territorial behaviors and tendency to range. This includes pet store employees who know they usually don't have anything that big and just want to sell you what they got, instead of what's best for the animal. I say nothing smaller than 120-130 gallons personally. An outdoor habitat is better. Floor space dimensions should be on the order of 6' x 3' or 5' x 4'.
Beardies are very territorial and love to roam to different areas to bask and socialize. Far too many people keep them in small tanks which are highly stressful.
