golden skink

Question
I have a golden skink and his leg was hurt and now his leg is swelling up and turning pink. I caught him trying to eat off some of his toes, as well. What should I do to help? I have tried vets and they will not look at him. I live in a very small town and have very few vets in my area.

 What you need is a good reptile vet and there are two directories by state to help you find one.  I'm amazed that the local vet did not at least give you a referral.
