Eastern painted Turtles living in same aquarium

Hi--I have had 2 eastern painted turtles living in the same aquarium for the last 12 years.  The older of the 2 just died after having it nearly 22 years!  I would like to get another turtle, and wondered if there is a danger of an adult female turtle harming a small, young one?

No there shouldn't be any danger at all to my understanding as long as the tank is large enough which I am presuming it is since you already had the others together that long and they were obviously healthy which I must say I congratulate you on. I must say not many people do keep their turtles properly. I am very sorry to hear of the loss.
