Lizard Menace

Question
I am from India. My question is how can I get rid of Lizards from my house? They're everywhere; behind curtain, behind light spots, in the kitchen, sometimes fall on the bed, behind cartons etc. I've tried keeping peacock feathers, empty egg shells and my house clean but in vain. I live in first floor.
Another question from my daughter which I could not answer, Are the eyes of a lizard open or close during hibernation?

thank you for your question.
You can keep them out with fly screen or some other kind of see-through fabric in front of the windows. But getting rid of them once they are inside the house is hard, they will keep coming back because they hunt for insects, flies ect. You can try to catch them when they are sleeping (depending on the lizard species during the day or night), they are often sluggish then and wake up only slowly.

Hibernating lizards have their eyes closed. They may wake up when you get close to them, but usually they sleep all the time.
