Western Fence Lizard..

Hello,

We found 2 Western Fence lizards (momma and baby)in our garage under a toolbox in hibernation.  Should I put them back in the garage near the spot or can they be taken care of as they come out of hibernation, my daughter is enthralled at this point.  Thanks in advance..

They are doing what comes naturally, and it's best to allow wild caught animals their freedom as they really don't do as well in captivity as animals that have been captive bred.  They will be waking up in about a month so I'd get them back where they were so the stress will be minimal.
