boxer bitch

i took my 5 and a half yr old boxer bitch for an ultrasound at 31 days, they found 2 heartbeats. i took her back for anothre ultarsound 2 weeks later and there was nothing! the vet said she absorbed them but can it be possible that she is hiding them under her ribs? she is getting fatter, starting to produce milk and follows us every where.

Personally, I like x-rays for detecting pups for just that reason.

You have to wait until after day 50 when the bones calcify but they results are usually more accurate.

If she absorbed her pups she can still gain wait and produce milk, it's like a false pregnancy.
