I have a 6 year old GSP he was a stud about 4 years ago everything went well no problems, since Saturday we have had a female in heat (today is day 9) at our house and he is not mounting, they play and she is giving signs to him and nothing...what is worng with my boy? What can we do?

at day 9 she is likely not ready yet. you can scratch back by her butt and if shes ready she will flag her tail and back her butt up. i also had a male that wouldnt mount a dominate female. my female was very dominate in the mating process and my male wouldnt mount her ever even when she was ready, resulting in a stud service at the last minute. i hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
