pregnant pitbull

I have two dogs. One is a male and hes half leonberger half rotti and the other is a female pitbull. We knew our female would be going into heat soon so we got our male fixed to be sure there would be no accidental breeding. About a week and a half after getting fixed when his stitches were healed he began humping our female. We werent concerned because we had gotten him fixed and they have ended up "tied" (stuck together) several times. Now our female is moody and growing very large breasts. She hasnt had contact with any other dogs at all so I was wondering if its possible for my male who was fixed to have impregnated my female? She went into heat right after his cone came off and i was told with male humans that after getting a vestectomy that it could be risky for six weeks after. Is that the same for dogs? It depends on the type of neuter you male received.  Castration which is the removal of both testicles or vasectomy, where by the right and left vas deferens is removed. A castration will still enables a male to have a sex drive, without the result.

It seems more than likely that you female is going through a false pregnancy, all the same symptoms without the end result.
