Is my dog pregnant or not

hi i have a male and female english bull terrier dogs and my female was on heat at the end of march we tried to keep them apart and while i was out one day they got together my partner separated them. in the last three weeks my female has started to get very aggressive towards my male, her nipples have swollen in the last week and is now producing milk yesterday she never ate anything she is digging but she has always done this, this morning i let the male out the back and when the female started to go out she saw the male coming back in she then crouched down like a cat an ran back to the chair she sleeps on and refused to move. she doesn't seem to have gained any weight, and she wants more cuddles, any ideas of how i ca work out if she is pregnant or just having a phantom pregnancy, thankyou for your time.

Hi Lisa -- like my Mom always says, "it just take one time!"

It could be a false pregnancy, the females will exhibit all the signs without the end product.

The most reliable way to determine if you are having pups, is to take her to the vet for x-rays.  It will take the guess work right out!
