my boreaux bitch has been on heat for 14 days and still will not allow the stud to mount her. when is the last day of a bordeaux heat cycle that she would mate successfully? Is it common for it to go on this long?

My DDB was in heat for ever and went 75 days to whelp. I think that the larger breeds take more time.

You can certainly have her progesterone levels tested to find out where she's at.  

If she's a dominant female, she may not let the male mount her anyway.
