Can Reduce consumption of protein help?

My mini poodle girl is 5 months old and has extremely long legs which is out of proportions. like the body is only only 4 inches but her legs is 7.5 inches long! Super long legs!

Can I reduce her consumption of protein that makes her in proportion again? What can I do?

What does your vet say?  If you are feeding a dog or puppy chow and little else, I would stick to it.  Puppy chows are formulated for fast growth, which is a problem with larger breeds, but shouldn't be a problem in a mini.  If you do want to change, try the adult version if you are feeding a puppy chow.  

The per cent protein may not mean much.  The figure is for total protein, and some chows don't have as well balanced protein and must use more to meet the dogs' needs.
