1. Is it ture poodles are originally from France?

2. If I get a toy or medium poodle or a half/poodle half/cocker spaniel (Cockapoo) how long will the dog live, how much gromming is required, and is the dog ever vicious because of their intelligence?

Answer
No although the poodle is the national dog of France.  The poodle actually has its early origins in Germany.  However France made the poodle much more the dog it is today.

I do not recomend mixing the breeds.  This is asking for a lot more health issues that either breed by itself, as both breeds suffer from the same health issues and many breeders out there that are mixing the two are not concerned with the health of the dog, but just making a buck.
A well bred poodle can live up to 15-20 years if well cared for and there are not inherant genetic issues.
Grooming is required every 4-6 weeks.  This is a high maintence breed.  Because the poodle does not shed the dog must be groomed regularly to remove the cast off under coat and keep the dog from matting.
A well bred poodle will never be vicious.  They should be fun loving, loyal, outgoing, and very intelligent!  They can keep you laughing for hours.  The are clowns!
