toy poodle started to poop on the couch

i wrote to you when my female toy poodle was about 6 months old. she is now 7 months old.  she still will sometimes go on the floor right after i bring her inside and she didn't go while i had her outside. you have addressed this. she is now 7 months old. i have been following your instructions and this has gotten better. thank-you for all of your previous help. the problem i would like for you to address is that tonight my husband came in from work and played with her for a few minutes and then he left to go run and errand. i was right in the room with her and she jumped up on my couch (she's allowed on our furniture) and i noticed she had a strange look on her face. then she assumed her poop position. fortunately due to my loud yell and getting her outside quickly we avoided her pooping on the couch. she has never pooped or peed on the furniture before. one time she did jump up in my husband's lap and pee on him when he was talking on the phone. why do you think she peed on him and then started to poop on the couch tonight? both times it has coincided with something to do with my husband whom she loves. thanks for your help.

She is going through a phase where she is seeing what she can get awya with.  Under no circumstances let her get away with ANYTHING.  You may have to restrict her house freedoms for a couple of weeks until she gets back on track.  Make sure that your hubby tells her NO and runs her immediately outside when she does that to him so that she knows she can not get away with it with him either.  Also when you tell her no be sure to stare her down until SHE looks away.  This tells her that you guys are the boss.  That is what she is trying to do is to take the alpha position.  Dogs do this every once in a while to reaffirm whos the boss.  She should get over this in a week or two and be back on track for you.
