Having two males huskies?

20 9:12:29

Question
I have one male husky, 2-3 years old, neutered, that I adopted from a local husky rescue agency.  Now that he has settled into his new home, I am thinking of adopting another husky so that he will have a companion to play with.  Will it be a problem if I adopt another male?  Will they compete with each other to claim territory in the house?  Should I focus my efforts on a female for my next adoption?

Answer
Opposite sex pairings are always smoother than same-sex, although neutering does help substantially.  There is inherent competition for rank that happens with members of the same sex, and while that doesn't preclude opposite sex competition, it is usually much more tame.  I would definitely recommend a female husky as it should be much easier.
