3 small puffers, 50g?

Question
I just bought 3 small green spotted puffers who are currently residing in a 20L. Everything they need. i was wondering if moving them to a 50g would be enough room for them while i move my bigger 2" puffer to the 20L. How long would the small ones be able to stay in a 50g? And also are there any other puffers that can live with my 2" Green spotted puffer? if i move him to a bigger tank? He is already converted to SG 1.021-23 (somewhere in there my hydrometer isn't the most accurate). like a saltwater puffer with a similar disposition or maybe a bigger one thats more peaceful? and would a black saddled toby (same size) be able to go with him? they are really nice looking. thanks for any input. ive been expanding my collection and wish to keep it up!

Answer
Hi Will,
What an interesting collection!

The 50gallon will be plenty big enough for 3 mature green spotted puffers. Green spotted puffers are best kept with their own kind, however, Tetraodon fluviatilis has been reported compatible with GSP's.

Otherwise, its usually quite difficult to keep a full-grown GSP with tankmates peacefully.
Always make sure any new tank you add your puffers too, that it is fully cycled. They cannot handle any ammonia or nitrites.
*The Black Saddled Toby sure is a cool fish. Very much like a puffer.

I'm not sure how combining these two species would work out. I don't have much experience with mixing puffers and I currently only keep brackish fish not marine species.

You should go check out this puffer forum and ask them there-

Best of luck and I hope this helps!
